At the time of writing this, I’m currently working as a family medicine resident physician in Florida. I did not always work as a physician. Life is a journey, to summarize the type of work I’ve done for money in the past include….working as a dishwasher, busboy, line cook, IT training, IT system admin, Electrical Engineer, Business Manager, Business consult, lastly, Medicine. The skills I have built over the years are part of my talent stack. I write this to show that my life is not linear, as I would assume for many of you reading this. Like you, I have many interests, and there’s no reason why we can’t pursue them. 

If you read the line above and thought, he must have had great financial support from his family growing up in order to try all these things. The truth is I’m the son of first-generation immigrants. I was willing to bet on myself and take on different risks. Taking on risk has consequences such as the amount of debt that I’ve accused over the past few years that have led me to medicine. It’s never smooth sailing navigating these rocky waters of everyday life. Part of the reason for this blog is to share my wins and losses. I’m not a writer, financial expert, but just a curious individual who is willing to put his thoughts on paper.
